ID BE ROYAL 2016 AQHA Bay Roan Gelding Standing at 14h “Shane” is a classy, shapey gelding with gorgeous color, and ready to be that champion ranch horse. He started his riding career as a trail horse with an older gentleman and was ridden extensively throughout southern Indiana. That made him the solid horse he is today, who loads beautifully and stands tied as long as you need. He will ride all day and cross anything you put in him across. We’ve owned him for nearly 2 years and he has been amazing to train. Shane wants to please and loves to work! He’s great around cattle and has sorted many around here! He has tracked several times out of the box.  He doesn’t love the rope, though. He has been lightly shown and took to it like he’s been showing for years and is in the ribbons every time, great with kids and would be good for a handy youth. He does have buttons so I feel he’d be best suited for an intermediate /experienced rider.
Shane is a stunning mover, with a ground-covering stride, a nice stop, and nice rollbacks.  Shane spins both ways and has a nearly solid lead change. Just an all-around cool guy with a ranch/reining handle that everybody wants.  Shane stands out in the showpen.  He’s an absolute joy to be around and behaves perfectly in any size herd.  He is the same horse in the arena or off the property.  He’s always been barefoot with us and has good solid feet. Shane is a prime example of an easy keeper.
His sire is Royal Blue Quixote who stood at the Pitzer Ranch and whose sire is the well-known Peptoboonsmal! His bloodlines shine through in his willingness, athleticism, and structure!
